Ladies from the area gather to discuss topics such as animal nutrition, native range plant and grass identification, weed identification and management, marketing, transitioning from one generation to the next.

Kid's Education Day
The CD has an Annual Ag and Conservation Education Day for the local school kids. Each year this day consists of several different subjects and activities put on by CD partners (NRCS, BLM, FWP, Winnett ACES, Pheasants Forever, CEMIST, etc.). Subjects cover a variety of topics including plant ID, soil health, grazing management, pollinators, wildlife, livestock, and invasive species.

Local Working Group
Local Working Group meetings are an annual event used by the Conservation District and local community to help guide NRCS Technical and Financial Assistance within your county. Your participation in this meeting will be used to help identify local resource concerns and guide NRCS's Financial Assistance opportunities in the future.

Applicators Class
The PCCD has held an Applicators Class for Applicators credits that will hopefully be an annual event. This event is put on by the Fergus-Petroleum County Ag Extension Agent and is split into two 45-minute classes composed of class time and hands on training.

Miscellaneous Workshops
The CD tries to have several educational workshops every year covering different Agricultural basics topics such as gardening, weed identification, animal nutrition, etc.

Fuels Mitigation Meetings/Program
We work in collaboration with Snowy Mountain Development Corporation and the BLM to offer a cost-share program through the PCCD and an experienced forester to help create a defensible space around your home with a forest treatment plan designed especially for you.
